Happy Birthday to me!

Jan 20: I'm one!
There are a lot of photos from today here but I had a great day and thought you want to see how big I've gotten. I weighed 23.4lbs when mom and I got on the scale today...will measure the height at my doctor's visit on Tuesday but I'm sure I've grown some because my clothes are getting a little small...great that I got some new clothes for my birthday! Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes for me! Mom and dad read all of them to me (and saved them for my baby book so I can read when I get bigger).

Mom and dad came singing "Ja må han leva..." and gave me all these presents. Some had come all the way from Sweden - TACK!

My first Lego...that was fun!

It was a fun day with my nanny, Emily...one get tired from playing a lot so I took a nap in the playpen while Emily was fixing my bed and changing table.

A new toy that I can ride on...my first wheels - cool! Guess I'll have to wait a few years for the real kind.

Time for some birthday cake. Mom picked up some Swirlz cupcakes since they have vegan ones (since I still need to stay off dairy...tried it on Monday but didn't work so well).

Smashing the cupcake was fun...eating it...ne...not my thing! It all ended up on the floor :)

Time for the monthly photo session...I was just not in a mood to sit still...so much energy...

...I decided to sneak out...

...It was a little tight but I got through.

Hair cut

Jan 11: So it was time for a little hair trim...it was in my face all the time and I was told I looked like one of those preppy kids and mamma didn't like that.

I guess my hair had gotten kind of long...but I look pretty cool, huh?

After many tries and help from daddy to distract me, mom managed to trim the bangs and some by the ears but then I had enough!

Jan 3: I am walking on my own!

After lots of practicing I finally did it!

Dec 12-28: Sweden vacation - part 3

Dec 21: It was time for the traditional Hultfeldt marsipan baking. I couldn't really participate but next year can.

I played with farmor's kitchen stuff instead.

Look at all the cool stuff they made...the tradition is to give it away for Christmas so we did...I heard it was really good. I'll taste it next year.

Dec 21: Dad's uncle Kjell came to visit. He's funny!

Dec 22: Great grandma came to visit.

Dec 23: Mom and I went to visit her friend Stina and her two sons Hampus and Oscar.

Dec 24: Christmas at the Blom family's house. Santa came!

Santa brought me a lot of presents. Guess it does help to be a good boy :)

Dec 12-28: Sweden vacation - part 2

Dec 20: Today was my 11th month day. I've grown some and am 77cm (30.3in) and weigh 10.2kg (22.4lbs).

Farmor brought out some of daddy's old toys for me to play with.

Practicing walking...mom and dad really wanted me to walk on my own when we were in Sweden. I walked a few steps to mormor on Dec 16 just as a teaser...hi hi...

Dec 21: Dad bought a pulka/sleigh for me so we went out playing on the snow today. It was so much fun riding in the sleigh.

Dec 12-28: Sweden vacation - part 1

Dec 12-28 we went to Sweden to spend Christmas with the family and visit friends. We had a great time and I got to spend time with my grandparents, cousins, uncles, aunt, etc. Here are some photos to show you how much fun we had.

Dec 16: Taking a bath at mormor and morfar's. Had to improvise some since they don't have a bathtub.

Dec 17: Mormor, mom and I went for a walk in Värmlandsbro

Dec 18: Mom and I took the train to Stockholm to meet up with dad. Here I'm hanging out in my stroller...pretty nice :)

Dec 19: We met up with Milla, Emma and Johnny for lunch. I hadn't seen Milla in a few months so it was fun.

Nov 22-29: Thanksgiving, visit with Eli, etc.

It's been a while since the last blog posting so here are some photos from November...December photos with the trip to Sweden, etc. coming in another posting.

11/22: Terry and Carol came to visit and I showed Terry my great soccer skills...mostly working on the catch and throw.
11/26: Thanksgiving at the Smoliks. Here I'm hanging with Ma.

Lots of fun stuff in the cabinets. Terry and I testing the cool hats...Tupperware makes awesome stuff.
